NSW has become the first state to fully roll out the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in July 2018. According to the government, more than 85,000 people with disability in NSW are using the NDIS. At the same period, the final stage of the NDIS roll-out in the Northern Territory has commenced, while Western Australia (WA) becomes the final state to officially join the Scheme. According to the WA Minister for Disability Services, Stephen Dawson, the NDIS is expected to support roughly 39,000 people with disability by 2020.
