NDS set to speak out about important topics affecting the disability sector

With tight budgets within a challenging policy environment, there are many unanswered questions when it comes to understanding some of the complex issues surrounding the disability sector within Australia.

With 4 million people reportedly living with a disability in this country, now is a good time for those working in mainstream or disability services to adapt to the changing needs of those who are disadvantaged, so as to improve the level of care, services and systems available to them.

Next month, December 5th and 6th 2016, the annual National Disability Services CEO Meeting will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Attendees will have the opportunity to think, question and reflect on a range of issues relating to the disability sector and will be given an insight into the future direction of the NDIS and the challenges that lie ahead.

With powerful and informative speeches given by government, business and industry leaders across different viewpoints of the disability sector, delegates attending this conference should expect to meet with like-minded individuals who will provide them with a wealth of practical, relevant and inspiring industry information. This will provide attendees with the know-how to offer more meaningful support to those they work with, assist with workforce planning and development, and help to better deliver the NDIS to those with a disability.

This conference is exclusively for NDS Organisational Members and Organisational Associates, who will benefit enormously from the ability to build professional networks with those in their community.

This CEO meeting recognises the time, effort and energy that disability services have put into creating the NDIS. These people have and will continue to play a pivotal role in reforming the disability sector and making a meaningful difference to those living with a disability.
